2nd edition of CCI-Dept of Laws National Moot Court Competition 

Chandigarh, March 30, 2024: The 2nd edition of CCI-Dept of Laws National Moot Court Competition commenced on 29th March 2024 and will continue till 31st March,2024.

The event was inaugurated with great enthusiasm by Hon’ble Mr Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, in the presence of dignitaries including Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor Panjab University; Prof. Devinder Singh, Chairperson Dept of Laws and Prof Shipra Gupta, Moot Court Society Incharge along with esteemed guests and faculty members.

In his address at the inaugural session of the CCI-Dept of Laws National Moot Court Competition, Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah shared profound insights on the importance of ethics in law practice, emphasizing the significance of understanding the law before examining precedents. Reflecting on his own journey, he highlighted the transformation from a rigid approach to becoming a receptive listener, stressing the value of humility and continual growth. Justice Amanullah underscored the role of judges' guidance, the need for unwavering dedication to the case at hand, and the importance of integrity over monetary gain. He urged aspiring legal professionals to uphold truthfulness, avoid undue favors, and approach moot experiences with an open mind, emphasizing that swift case disposal and respect for opposing arguments contribute to a more effective legal system. Ultimately, he imparted the timeless wisdom that humility, integrity, and a commitment to justice are the pillars of a noble legal profession.

The competition hosted by dept of laws promises to be a platform for budding legal minds to showcase their advocacy skill and legal acumen.
