2-day TCEI SIWPC Global 2023 & TCEI Excellence Awards, hosted by Telangana Chamber of Events Industry, begins

Hyderabad, July 24, 2023: The highly acclaimed flagship event of the Telangana Chamber of Events Industry (TCEI) - one of India's largest regional events associations; TCEI SIWPC GLOBAL 2023 and TCEI Excellence Awards, began here at the HICC and HITEX, Hyderabad, India. The two day event being held on July 24th and 25, is supported by the Telangana Tourism.

 
Chief Guest  V. Srinivas Goud, Minister for Tourism & Culture, Youth Affairs & Sports & Excise & Prohibition, Government of Telangana; inaugurated the prestigious South Indian Wedding Planners Congress (SIWPC) and excellence awards, at the HICC HITEX, today. Also present were Balaram Babu, President, TCEI;  Ravi Bura, General Secretary, TCEI;  Shravan Madiraju, Convenor, SIWPC; Ramesh Muppana, Convenor, TCEI Event Excellence Awards; Toufiq M Khan, Treasurer, TCEI; Farha Kudari, Co-convenor and Joint Secretary, TCEI; Dr Suarabh Surekha, Co-convenor & Executive, TCEI; Sudhakar Y, Co-convenor, TEEA and Mr Ali Khadar, Co-convenor, TEEA.

 
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest V. Srinivas Goud said, Hyderabad was one of the richest country once upon a time, even the Kohinoor Diamond which adorns the crown of queen of England is from Hyderabad. It is famous for famous for pearls, gold, diamonds, biryani. Hyderabad is one of the biggest event centres in India, several international events take place here. Commend the Event Industry in Telangana for being one of the highest employment provider. The biggest event industry and Convention centre in the country are located at Hyderabad. The state has UNESCO recognised temples and historic places, rich heritage scenic and historical locations. Telangana can be one of the best wedding destinations and the Government will be willing to provide all the support for Wedding planners looking at Telangana as a destination. The Government is extending single window clearance for events hosted here. KTR is intending to set up an Event city in Telangana and we will see it happening shortly. KCR’s dream is to have several Convention centers in Telangana and make the state the Events capital of the world. This Congress has attracted delegates and prominent wedding planners from abroad and India. These delegates are amazed at the facilities, infrastructure, scenic locations here and are seriously looking at Telangana for their future wedding events.      
 

Balaram Babu said, Telangana has the largest regional event association in the country. A Conference of this scale has never happened here. South India is known for big fat weddings, the greatest wedding in the history of mankind is held here in South India, the Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam attended by the entire human kind is the grandest wedding ever recorded in human history. TCEI brings together every element of event industry and is a platform where ever one finds support, voice and appreciation, which nurtures the events professionals.    
 

Shravan Madiraju said, wedding planners can with great felicity handle a multibillionaire and a labourer or vendor. He knows about sound, lighting and various other things, he is the director of the film and captain of the ship. This profession is the 5th most stressful job in the globe, yet we handle it with great ease. We all work for that one smile or one appreciation from the client, that you did a great job.
