182 examined in health check-up camp at Ambala

As many as 182 people were examined during a multi-speciality health checkup camp at Mahabir Dal Eye Hospital, Ambala Cantt on Thursday. The camp was organised by Max Hospital, Mohali in association with JCI Senior Members Association and Dazzling Divas Club, Ambala.

Ambala, March 23, 2023: As many as 182 people were examined during a multi-speciality health checkup camp at Mahabir Dal Eye Hospital, Ambala Cantt on Thursday. The camp was organised by Max Hospital, Mohali in association with JCI Senior Members Association and Dazzling Divas Club, Ambala.

During camp a team of Max doctors including Dr Kanika Sharma medical oncologist, Dr Akash from cardiology, Dr Akhileshwar from Ortho and Dr Nancy from gyane & internal medicine examined the patients for their cardiac, orthopaedics, oncology , general medicine and gynecology related health problems.

The free tests of blood pressure, random blood sugar and ECG were also offered during the occasion. 

During camp the experts shared tips to stay healthy and fit.

Dr Kanika Sharma  said that lump and swelling in the body , wound and ulcer in the mouth , bleeding in stool, urine or abnormal vaginal bleeding , lump in the breast, any swelling in neck , changes in the voice, cough or breathlessness  a long time and difficulty in swallowing food are symptoms of the cancer.  

She further informed that the most curable forms of cancer include: colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer. Stage 1 cancer is also curable, especially when caught in its early stages. The earlier you detect cancer, the higher your odds are of curing it before it becomes severe, maintained Dr Kanika.

Among others Vineet Sharma zone vice chairman, Vineet Sharma zone director and Vikas Madan zone coordinator of  Senior Members Association and Vandana Sharma founder president and Monika Tondon secretary  of Dazzling Divas Club were also present during the occasion.
