Ludhiana, May 22, 2025: Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Thursday spearheaded a series of Nasha Mukti Yatra events today in Tajpur Bet, Khasi Kalan and Khasi Khurd villages, reinforcing the commitment of Punjab government to eradicate drug abuse in his constituency.

During these events, Minister Mundian announced that 18 villages in his constituency have achieved drug-free status. Further in a significant step forward, the panchayats of these villages took a collective oath to not to provide guarantees to bail out these criminals. Drugs will soon become a thing of the past. 

The Minister added that since the start of Yudh Nashya Viruddh, illegal properties of 86 drug peddlers have been demolished so far He stated that Nasha Mukti Yatra is a people’s revolution, empowering residents to stand against drug abuse and trafficking. “This is not just a campaign; it’s a collective resolve to reclaim Punjab’s future for our youth,” he said. He urged citizens to report drug traffickers, assuring confidentiality through a dedicated WhatsApp helpline 97791-00200 and encouraged those struggling with addiction to seek free treatment at government-supported de-addiction centers.

The Minister added that the government is breaking the backbone of the drug trade, but the real victory lies in the hands of our people. He emphasized the importance of community participation and vowed to continue efforts to make the entire constituency drug-free.
