Mumbai, September 15, 2022: India’s Largest International Exhibition for Food & Drink Technology, with over 450 Exhibitors from 32 countries, the 16th ANUTEC – International FoodTec India 2022, was inaugurated today by Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State (MOS) for Ministry of Food Processing and Jal Shakti of India.
 
The 16th ANUTEC – International FoodTec India is expecting over 14,000 business visitors from the industry and aims to define the roadmap for India’s food manufacturing hub.
 
Speaking on the challenges posed by technology in food production, Prahlad Singh Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State (MOS) for Ministry of Food Processing and Jal Shakti of India commented “Innovative technologies will help create a modern infrastructure that can help in efficient supply chain management across MSME large and small segments. We will do all that we can to simplify the food policy and support the Food processing Industry.
 
“The right technique, technological know-how and adequate financial support will eventually increase the overall production and enhance exports” the minister further added reiterating Prime Minister’s earlier address to the public.
 
Milind Dixit, Managing Director, Koelnmesse India YA Trade Fairs said, “Favourable economic policies and schemes such as PLI - Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY), does not only provide a big boost to the growth of food processing sector in the country but also help India in becoming a global food manufacturing hub.”
 
“We for the first time ever are  holding a special session for describing the Central Government’s  Ministry of MSME’s schemes for the food industry, with the support of the MSME Directorate of industries. But our objective was not to just get their support and get the MSME companies to participate in the show but our core objective was to get the officials to talk about what Indian MSME’s are getting offering to the market. That is because , because many people are still in that dark about all government schemes being offered for them. So the objective was to educate the small and Medium Enterprises in India through a medium , that is the Authority to tell them not just about how to apply for the benefits but also  what else they can do” further continued Dixit.
 
The Conference is being supported by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), All India Food Processors Association (AIFPA), Association of Food Scientist & Technologist of India (AFSTI - Mumbai), Chamber for Advancement of Small and Medium Businesses (CASMB), Indian Flexible Packaging & Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA), Hospitality Purchasing Managers Forum (HPMF), Western India Culinary Association (WICA) and Retailers Association of India (RAI).  
 
Co-located with Annapoorna – ANUFOOD India, PackEx India, Food Logistics India and ANUTEC Ingredients India, the Exhibition & conference will be on-going till 16 September 2022, at Hall no 5, Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai. The three day gathering aims to find the right solutions for the industry specifically food wastage, nutritional value of food, policy makers’ involvement - through a series of seminars, workshops to a broader audience, thus making the conversations more engaging and wider.
 
Other than the insightful sessions and national seminars, there is a Guided Factory Tour, which comprises of a technical live demonstration of various latest technology & innovation in the food & beverage processing, packaging and allied Industry that is displayed live & running at the show floor, with the purpose of giving prospective buyers a feel of visiting a factory premises, evaluate/experience the live machine & gather technical insights from the experts of the respective pavilions.
