15th Annual Convocation at PCTE Group of Institutes

Ludhiana, December 16, 2023: PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana, recently hosted its 15th Annual Convocation Ceremony, a spectacular event commemorating the achievements and academic journey of the Class of 2023. The prestigious occasion, held at the institute's campus, was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director of IIM Amritsar, as the Chief Guest.

The convocation began with a grand March Past, a unique and vibrant spectacle where the students from 60 different nations proudly carried their national flags, symbolizing the diverse and inclusive community at PCTE. This was followed by the Academic Procession, wherein students, faculty, and the Chief Guest proceeded with dignity and grace.

The traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony marked the commencement of the formal proceedings, illuminating the path of knowledge and wisdom.

Swapan Chanana, Director Students Welfare, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, presenting a bouquet on behalf of the PCTE family, acknowledging his esteemed presence.

Harpreet Kaur Kang, Dean of International Affairs, presented the Institute's Progress Report for the past year, highlighting the notable achievements and contributions of PCTE in the field of education.

The pivotal moment of the ceremony arrived with the Distribution of Degrees to the Class of 2023, conducted by Dr. K.N.S. Kang, the Director General of PCTE Group of Institutes. This marked the official recognition of the graduates' successful completion of their academic journey.

Dr. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy delivered an insightful Convocation Address, inspiring graduates with his profound insights into post-graduation life, higher education, the array of opportunities and challenges, strategies for overcoming obstacles, and the paramount importance of values, ethics, and integrity. He emphasized the critical role of hard work, perseverance, resilience, self-discipline, time management, and adaptability in guiding their journey ahead.

The ceremony further celebrated the academic excellence of meritorious students with the distribution of prizes and college colors by Dr. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy. The prestigious Wg Cdr. H.S. Gill Award, recognizing the outstanding student excelling both academically and in co-curricular activities from the Class of 2023, was awarded to Radhika Bahra of the B.Tech 2019-23 batch. The award was presented by Parminder K. Gill, the Vice-Chairperson of PCTE.

Dr. Kapil Prashar, Dean of Engineering, expressed heartfelt gratitude in the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that contributed to the success of the Convocation.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the formal departure of the Academic Procession, symbolizing the end of a memorable and inspiring ceremony.
