12pc polling in Dharamshala and 13pc in Palampur MC elections in first two hours

Dharamshala: The voting started in two municipal corporations in Kangra district at 8am this morning. After two hours Dharamshala had 12% while Palampur 13% polling. The voting shall continue till 4 in the evening and the counting will start immediately after the poll and the results are expected late by the evening.

Dharamshala MC was formed in 2016 and congress won 13 out of 17 seats in its first poll while BJP bagged 4. Palampur MC is created this year only and the residents there are voting for the first time to choose 15 corporates.

Beside this two other newly formed Municipal Corporations namely Mandi and Solan are also polling for the first time.
Shimla Municipal Corporation will go to poll next year.
