Rich Floral Tributes were paid to Dada Lakhmi Chand, honoring his contributions through various programs organized on the university campus.

Rohtak, July 15, 2026: The 123rd birth anniversary of the renowned 'Saang' maestro, poet, and folk artist Dada Lakhmi Chand was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Wednesday at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA). Rich Floral Tributes were paid to Dada Lakhmi Chand, honoring his contributions through various programs organized on the university campus.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya paid floral tributes at the statue of Dada Lakhmi Chand located on the campus. Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Ajay Kaushik, Faculty Coordinators (FC)—Mahesh TP (Film & Television), Vinay Kumar (Visual Arts), and Dr. Shaili Khanna (Design)—along with other faculty members and staff (both teaching and non-teaching), also offered flowers at the statue.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya stated that the state government named SUPVA after Dada Lakhmi Chand in recognition of his immense contributions. He emphasized that it is our moral responsibility to play a pivotal role in preserving his cultural legacy, ensuring that future generations are made aware of his significant contributions to art and culture.

A blood donation camp was also organized during the event, inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya, who donated blood himself. A team from the Red Cross Society and the Civil Hospital, led by Dr. Mansi collected 37 units of blood at the camp. Donors were honored with certificates.
