115th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh

Jalandhar, September 28, 2022: The Department of History in collaboration with Youth Club and NCC celebrated the 115th birth anniversary of Shaheed-e- Azam Shaheed Bhagat Singh.  

On the occasion, a cycle rally was held. Students participated in the cycle rally with great zeal by saying the slogan Inquilab Zindabad. Also, a symposium was organised on the life and philosophy of the revolutionary and fiery figure of Bhagat Singh in the auditorium. Celebrating this historic day is the need of the hour in an attempt to enliven and commemorate the selfless sacrifice laid by him. The youth of our nation must look up to this man of reverence and unyielding spirit who remained steadfast in his intent and ambition even in the gravest of times when colonialism demanded sheer submission. He went against all odds in preserving the dignity of his motherland and in manifesting the dream of a free India in the minds of the posterity. A play was also shown to the students to give them the feel of the day. 

President Naresh Kumar Budhia, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar felicitated the department for having successfully organised this activity in the national interest.
