10 Underprivileged Couples Begin Their New Journey Together at the Wishes and Blessings Mass Wedding

Delhi, November 17, 2025: Wishes and Blessings, a Delhi-based registered non-profit organisation, successfully hosted the Mass Wedding Ceremony on 16 November, at Nanaksar Gurdwara (Guru Nanak Garib Niwaj Education Society), Greater Kailash-II, New Delhi. Organised in association with The Vows, India’s leading bespoke matchmaking agency. The event brought together 10 underprivileged couples who tied the knot completely for free of cost, in the presence of their family, friends and well-wishers, marking a joyful occasion for the community.

This event marked the third edition of the NGO’s mass wedding initiative. In its previous editions, 17 couples—including 9 visually impaired pairs embarked on their new journey with dignity and joy. Continuing this legacy, the organisation remained dedicated to its belief that every wish, no matter how small, deserves to be fulfilled.

Dr Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings, said “This is the third time we have organised the Mass Wedding, and each edition reinforces our belief that love, dignity and equality should never be a privilege, it is a basic right of any individual. Through this initiative, we feel truly blessed to help 10 underprivileged couples begin their new journeys, surrounded by love, hope and happiness.” She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event possible.

By hosting this event, Wishes and Blessings aimed to ease the financial burden of marriage for 20 families and helped these couples begin their new chapter with grace and stability. The event was made possible through the continued partnership with The Vows, and through the generosity of donors and supporters who contributed not just with blessings, but also with essential household gifts to help the couples start their married lives comfortably.

“Collaborating with Wishes and Blessings for their Mass Wedding initiative was a deeply fulfilling experience. At The Vows, we are dedicated to helping people find their perfect life partners. We believe every couple deserves a beautiful start to their journey together. Being able to contribute to such a meaningful cause, where love transcends boundaries filled us with immense joy and excitement,” shared Divya Khanna, Co-founder of The Vows.

The newly married couples expressed their happiness and gratitude. One of the couples shared, “We are grateful to Wishes and Blessings for giving us the opportunity to get married with all the rituals, surrounded by love and blessings. Our families are very happy. The arrangements were wonderful, and we felt extremely loved and supported."

A newlywed shared that after her father’s demise, her family had no resources to arrange her wedding. Through the Mass Wedding initiative, Wishes and Blessings stepped in and made her dream of getting married with dignity come true.

For more a decade, Wishes and Blessings has worked tirelessly to build an inclusive society where equal opportunities are a reality for all. Its flagship initiatives—Open Pathshala, Daily Meals Programme, Street to School Programme, Sponsor a Child Programme, SAHAS (Skill Development), WB Rasoi (Community Kitchen), and a network of old-age homes—have collectively transformed lives across India.
