NSS cell of PAU organised camp on theme “Personality Development and Team Building”


Ludhiana, December 20, 2017: A seven-day special camp was organized by the NSS cell of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) under the aegis of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare. The camp, based on the theme “Personality Development and Team Building,” saw the participation of more than 600 students of PAU. An awareness drive on traffic rules and road safety was organized in collaboration with Asha Chinh Society and Rotary Club, Ludhiana. A counseling session by Group Captain Anoop Sood in Defence Career Services was also arranged. Students beautified the campus by painting avenue trees and cleaning tree basins. The usable clothes, books, blankets etc. collected during the special donation drive in the Youth Festival 2017 were donated to poor and needy people. In addition, a talent hunt programme was also organized to mark the celebration of Human Rights Day. Various competitions like poster making, article and poem writing, cultural programme were held to unlock the hidden talent of the youth. On the concluding day, the winners of all the events were given certificates and trophies by Director Students’ Welfare, Dr R.K. Dhaliwal.
Motivational speakers viz. Dr Prem Saini, Mrs Varsha Bisaria, Mrs Gurpreet Kaur, Mr Hardeep Brar and Mrs Gulneet Chahal conducted interactive sessions.
