Actor Kamya Punjabi makes a powerful statement in the newly unveiled poster of Me No Pause Me Play, touted as India’s first Hindi feature film on menopause. Backed by Digifilming and Mirrro Films, the film explores an issue rarely depicted on screen — the emotional and physical journey of women during menopause — with an empowering message at its core: “Zindagi rukti nahi... main bhi nahi!”
The poster features Kamya in a determined, forward-moving stance, set against the imagery of a large golden clock — a symbolic representation of time, change, and renewal. The visual, bold yet introspective, reflects the film’s central theme of self-acceptance and strength in the face of life’s transitions.
Directed by Samar K. Mukherjee and written and produced by Manoj Kumar Sharma, Me No Pause Me Play also stars Deepshikha Nagpal, Sudha Chandran, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Amiee Misobbah, Karan Chhabra & Aman Verma in pivotal roles. The film is inspired by Sharma’s widely appreciated book of the same name, which captures the unspoken experiences of women navigating menopause — a topic often brushed under the rug in Indian households.
Speaking about the film, Kamya Punjabi says, “Menopause is a natural part of every woman’s life, yet it’s treated like something to be hidden. With Me No Pause Me Play, we’re giving that silence a voice. It’s about courage, acceptance, and realizing that this phase isn’t an end — it’s a new beginning.”
Through its story, Me No Pause Me Play aims to spark open dialogue about women’s health, emotional well-being, and identity — subjects that remain largely underrepresented in mainstream cinema. With screenplay and dialogues by Shakeel Qureshi and Manoj Kumar Sharma, and cinematography by Akram Khan, the film seeks to blend social commentary with emotional storytelling.
Set to release in theatres on November 28, 2025, Me No Pause Me Play positions itself as a bold step toward destigmatizing conversations around women’s health and aging — a cinematic reminder that life doesn’t pause, and neither do women.
