ASHA NEGI (Purvi of Pavitra Rishta)

It is always a wonderful feeling to watch people during Holi. Since this festival is probably the most colorful one that we celebrate in India, it also reminds us of the different shades of life. I am not a big fan of celebrating Holi with colors, as everything gets so messy by the end of the day! This year, I am looking forward to the holiday as I will be celebrating Holi in Mumbai with my friends and colleagues for the first time. However, my most favourite memory of Holi was 2 years back when I brought in the day with my entire family in my hometown of Dehradun. The best part of this festival is that everyone sets their grudges aside and enjoy the occasion with everyone.

RAGINI KHANNA (HOST OF India’s Best Dramebaaz)
Holi reminds me of my childhood days when I would celebrate this festival at my naani’s (maternal grandmother) place along with my family and neighbors. But unfortunately, this year things won’t be the same. This year, I plan to celebrate Holi with my close friends and family if I am given time off from my shoots. The best part of this festival is that, it’s the only time when you can get up to all sorts of mischief and expect to be forgiven just by saying “BURA NA MANO HOLI HAI”.

RITVIK DHANJANI (ARJUN OF PAVITRA RISHTA & Host of India’s Best Dramebaaz)

Holi is one festival which I haven’t really been able celebrated much over the years. Having spent so many years of my life abroad, I haven’t had the opportunity to celebrate this festival much. But I do really look forward to celebrating this festival given half the opportunity. There is this one particular memory I have of Holi when I was celebrating the festival at a friends’ place. We were chasing each other around the backyard in an attempt to put color on each other. Finally, after getting tired of chasing me around the house, they just pushed me into some buckets that were filled with color and I ended up being covered in all the colors of the rainbow! While I am sure they found it very funny, I looked like a 3 year old child had dumped all his finger painting colours over me! Irrespective, I still love celebrating Holi with my friends and family.

MAHIMA MAKWANA (RACHNA OF SAPNE SUHANE LADAKPAN KE)

Ever since I was a child, my mother has made pooran poli on this auspicious day and now it doesn’t feel like Holi if the pooran poli is missing! This year too, I will get my mum to make some specially for me! I love eating this tasty delicacy. There is this place called Loliwada in Worli, where preparations for Holi begin 7-8 days prior to the festival. I would love to bring in Holi there, if only I get a day off from my shoot. Holi is the time to enjoy yourself with friends and since I love colors and playing pranks on others, I am eagerly waiting for Holi.

LEENA JUMANI (PARI of PUNARVIVAAH)
Holi is one of my favorite festivals of the Hindu calendar and I love all the rituals associated with it. The best part about this festival is the sense of togetherness that comes along with it. My most favourite memory of celebrating Holi was ten years back when it played a prank on my entire family and applied color on their faces while they were all sleeping!

SUHASI DHAMI (SONA OF HOUSEWIFE HAI SAB JANTI HAI)
In my opinion, the best way to celebrate Holi is with gulaal. It is the festival of colours after all. It is fun to meet up with old friends on this day and indulge in some masti for old times sake.I would  love to have bhang as well but the after effects are little strange as you find yourself lost in your own world and it ends up being a nightmare. Unfortunately I will be busy with shoots this year so I haven’t made any plans as yet.

SHAKTI ARORA (DR. ONIR OF PAVITRA RISHTA)
This year I will be celebrating Holi with the Zee TV team and am eagerly looking forward to having a lot of fun and masti! I like making detailed plans prior to Holi and ensuring that I enjoy the day to the fullest. This year I am eagerly looking forward to trying some bhang.

ANIRUDH DAVE (KANHAIYA OF HOUSEWIFE HAI SAB JANTI HAI)

I have always been accustomed to playing Holi with my family and relatives. Besides having lots of colors and balloons, we also play Holi with eggs and tomatoes. In fact, we ensure that we have a blast as well no matter what we use to play Holi. Being the festival of colors, it is my favorite festival of the year and I look forward to celebrating this year as well.
MRINALINI TYAGI (TEJU OF PAVITRA RISHTA)

Last year’s holi was one of the most memorable ones that I have celebrated since I was with my colleagues and friends. The best part of holi is rang, gulal and bhang. I love wearing white clothes on this colorful day. I savor sweets and enjoy having bhang on this day. You will find me at my notoriousness best on this day as I indulge in making and throwing water balloons filled with colour. I consider myself to be quite a prankster and on this day I play pranks on everyone by saying burra na mano holi hain...

SHRUTI KANWAR (OVI OF PAVITRA RISHTA)

Holi has never been an occasion which I have celebrated on a large scale. Although I am not too fond of holi, I am looking forward to celebrating this holi with my mischievous friends (Rithvik, Asha and Zia) and doing lots and lots of dhamaal on the sets of Pavitra Rishta.

NEHA SARGAM (SITA OF RAMAYAN)

To be very honest, I am horrified at the thought of people having their entire faces on holi. There is a cute prank I would like to share with you when I, along with my mischievous cousins painted my grandfather’s face while he was asleep. When got up from his slumber and saw himself in the mirror, he screamed like a kid! If I get a holiday on holi I would definitely like to celebrate it with my family.

NEIL BHATT (LAXMAN OF RAMAYAN)

The one fond memory I have of holi is of celebrating it on the terrace of my building. We would block all the water pipes so that the water could get accumulated on the terrace and then we would have a blastin that pool of water. Unfortunately I have no plans for holi this year as I will be busy with shooting for Ramayan. Colors are the best part in holi, as they help bring society together and strengthen the secular fabric of our country.

KIRAN KARMARKAR (BALRAJ of BADALTE RISHTON KI DASTAN):
While I love Holi and everything it stands for, I believe that we should celebrate Holi in a manner that is ecologically friendly. Given the current water crisis in the country, I would urge everyone to celebrate a dry Holi rather than wasting water on such a large scale!
