Yudh Nashya Viruddh- Illegal house of drug trafficker demolished in Malaud

As part of the Punjab Government's 'Yudh Nashya Viruddh' campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the state drug-free, Khanna Police along with Malaud Nagar Panchayat demolished the house of drug trafficker Amrik Singh, a resident of ward No. 2, Malaud on Friday. 

Yudh Nashya Viruddh- Illegal house of drug trafficker demolished in Malaud

Malaud (Ludhiana), Jan 20, 2025: As part of the Punjab Government's 'Yudh Nashya Viruddh' campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the state drug-free, Khanna Police along with Malaud Nagar Panchayat demolished the house of drug trafficker Amrik Singh, a resident of ward No. 2, Malaud on Friday. 

The house was illegally constructed without approval from the Malaud Nagar Panchayat.

Executive Officer Malaud Nagar Panchayat Harnarinder Singh Shergill stated that Amrik Singh alias Rinku had violated the Municipal Act by constructing the house without obtaining approval from the Nagar Panchayat. He added that four notices were issued to demolish the illegal structure, and the demolition was carried out today with police assistance.

SP (Headquarters) Tejvir Singh Hundal mentioned that the Punjab Government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, with strict action being taken against traffickers. He noted that Amrik Singh alias Rinku has been facing three NDPS cases and has released from jail just two days ago. 

Hundal emphasized that the government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is fully committed to saving the state's youth. He urged the public to report drug-related activities to their nearest police station. 

DSPs Payal Hemant Malhotra, Karmvir Toor, and other officials from the civil and police administration were also present.
