YSPUHF Students Gain International Academic Pathways through Collaboration with WSU Australia

Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (YSPUHF), Nauni, is implementing a new international academic pathway with Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia, that will allow eligible students to combine their undergraduate education at Nauni with an international Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Under the 3.5+1.5-year pathway, students will complete the first three and a half years of their undergraduate degree at Nauni and then progress to the one-and-a-half-year MBA programme at WSU. The MBA component will include one year of study at WSU’s India campus in Greater Noida, followed by six months of study in Australia, giving students the opportunity to experience both Indian and international academic environments.

The new pathway is being introduced for students pursuing BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, BSc (Hons) Agribusiness Management, BSc (Hons) Natural Farming and BTech Food Technology at Nauni. It will enable students to build on their undergraduate education in agriculture and allied disciplines with specialised knowledge and skills in business, management and entrepreneurship.

The pathway is particularly designed to provide an interdisciplinary academic experience, allowing students from scientific and technical backgrounds to develop an understanding of Business Management. On completion of the prescribed requirements, the pathway will provide students with an opportunity to move from their undergraduate education at Nauni directly into an international MBA programme, creating an integrated academic route from agriculture and allied sciences to business and management.

Opportunity for Two MBA Degrees

Under a separate academic pathway being implemented through the collaboration, eligible students can also pursue two MBA degrees, one from UHF and one from WSU. Under this 1+1.5-year pathway, students will complete one year of the MBA Agribusiness/General programme at Nauni, followed by one-and-a-half years of MBA study at Western Sydney University in Australia. On successful completion of the prescribed academic requirements of both universities, students will receive MBA degrees from both universities.

The collaboration has already created opportunities for YSPUHF students at the doctoral level. Two PhD students of the University, Vijay and Sujit, are currently pursuing dual-degree programmes at Western Sydney University, while three more students have been selected for admission to dual-degree programmes at WSU.

Western Sydney University’s business education is internationally recognised, with its business school holding Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, an international accreditation for business schools and business programmes. The new academic pathways will further strengthen the academic and research collaboration between YSPUHF and Western Sydney University, while providing students with opportunities for international exposure, interdisciplinary learning and higher education.

Walk-in Interview for MBA Self-Financing Seats

Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, is conducting a Walk-in Interview for admission to MBA Self-Financing seats on September 24, 2026, at the Department of Agribusiness Management, UHF Nauni. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university/institution recognised by the Government, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. A relaxation of 5% marks is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.
