Young University Rankings-2022 announced

Jalandhar, February 25, 2022: Through an innovative approach towards challenging the current status quo, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has been ranked 27th amongst all Indian universities. Times Higher Education Young Universities Rankings-2022 (THE YU Rankings-22), a prestigious globally recognised rating system, has also placed LPU in the 351-400 Band on a global scale. Previously included among the top 36 Indian universities in THE World University Rankings- 2022, this is once again one of the best accolades won by LPU.
The Young University Rankings assess the world’s best universities that are 50 years old, or younger based on their foundation dates in the annual list. Universities such as LPU in India's Punjab State were founded in response to a growing need for higher education in fast developing areas. In comparison to many of the participating universities from across the world, LPU is just 16 years old, despite the fact that it is already an established part of the global higher education landscape.
Commenting on the achievement, University Chancellor, Mr Ashok Mittal shares: “We are proud to see LPU shining globally by winning sought-after rankings time and again.  Credit goes to all at LPU who always work resolutely with an ability to do things differently and innovatively. Under such a notion, a trans-disciplinary and research oriented experiential approach is being adopted in every facet of the University.”
Emerging institutions are flourishing in almost every region of the world, and India is no exception, with fast-growing, determined universities such as LPU which is displaying exemplary services across the education sector. This year Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris topped the table and ranked number one globally, while in India JSS Academy of Higher Education is listed top. LPU has been placed ahead of notable Indian universities such as Amity University and SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Previously included amongst the top 36 Indian universities in THE World University Rankings- 2022, this announcement is once again many step ahead accolades won by LPU.
