Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Known for his powerful performances and ability to bring every character to life, actor Yashpal Sharma is once again ready to take audiences into a mysterious world of fear, suspense and supernatural thrills. His latest supernatural horror thriller, ‘Jhaad Phoonk’, is now streaming on JioHotstar. Along with the film’s OTT release, the makers have unveiled a new trailer that offers chilling glimpses and mysterious sequences, further heightening audience curiosity.
Directed by Rajan Ramgopal Varma, the film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Yashpal Sharma, Padmini Kolhapure, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Harsh Rajput and Apratim Singh in pivotal roles. According to Yashpal Sharma, his character has several layers, making it a challenging and exciting experience for him as an actor.
Sharing his experience, Yashpal Sharma said, “Jhaad Phoonk has been an interesting and challenging film for me. My character has several layers, and that is what makes it particularly special to portray. As an actor, I enjoy playing characters that make audiences experience something new at every moment and leave them thinking about the character. Working with Rajan Ramgopal Varma was a good experience. The film’s story and suspense will keep viewers hooked. I am happy that the film is now reaching audiences across the country through JioHotstar.”
The story unfolds in the hills of Uttarakhand following a road accident, when a pregnant woman named Aastha takes shelter in an unfamiliar house. Initially, the family appears welcoming and helpful, but gradually, its behaviour begins to seem mysterious and frightening. The presence of an unknown woman, the sudden disappearance of her companion and the growing concern for the safety of her unborn child take the narrative into increasingly suspenseful territory.
Produced under the banner of Neev Entertainment India, the film is produced by Shailesh Parihar, with Vrinda Brahmbhatt serving as co-producer. Blending horror, suspense and psychological fear, ‘Jhaad Phoonk’ promises an intriguing cinematic experience, with Yashpal Sharma’s powerful screen presence emerging as one of its major attractions.
