New Delhi, August 27, 2019: At a recent Hackathon hosted by UiPath, Xebia won the first prize for building a Morse code prototype utilizing the rent of Things (IoT)that can transmit messages, received via speech.
The 24-hour event “UiPath Power Up Automation” focused on powering the next generation of robots, decipher complex problems and ignite innovative automation ideas.
40 teams and 200 participants in total competed for the coveted spot—showcasing impressive designs centered on Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The contenders had to submit projects based on three key areas: Enterprise, Automation for a cause and RPA for Fun. Xebia’s team of RPA developers contended under the category RPA for Fun. The prototype, which they had built, demonstrated and articulated real-world use cases in the manufacturing industry. They also integrated a pre-coded sequence command to show the efficacy of RPA in managing multiple IoT devices.
Understanding the significance of IoT-based sensors in the manufacturing industry for recording and transmitting critical data, the team focused on developing an idea that could tap the power of Robotic Process Automation and make an impact on the manufacturing industry.
“The model that we developed will help the manufacturing industry to revolutionize their IoT systems management. We leveraged the power of RPA and IoT to automate the process and reduce manual efforts required to manage IoT devices,” said Abhishek Verma, Team Xebia.
The team (Abhishek Verma, Prayant Jain, Pawan Kumar) used the UiPath and Arduino for their project titled “RPA Assisted IoT”.The developers analyzed the challenges and inefficiency concerning the management of IoT devices in the manufacturing industry.
