Writing Poems develops creativity and critical thinking: Sunit Mukherjee
Nineteen students enthusiastically participated in the poetry recitation competition organized under the auspices of the Poetry Club and the English Literary Society in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, MDU. Participants beautifully expressed their feelings and emotions through poems.

Rohtak, October 4, 2025: Nineteen students enthusiastically participated in the poetry recitation competition organized under the auspices of the Poetry Club and the English Literary Society in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, MDU. Participants beautifully expressed their feelings and emotions through poems.
The competition coordinator, Prof. Neelam Hooda said that the purpose of this event is to promote creative writing and expression among students.
Hina won the first prize in this poetry recitation competition. Yash and Asha begged the second prize, and Ankit and Pinky got the third position. Prof. Sunita Saini (Department of Sanskrit) and Sunit Mukherjee (Department of Journalism and Mass Communication) were the jury members.
Sunit Mukherjee said that poetry writing and poetic presentation develop creativity, creativity, and critical thinking in students. He praised the English Department's initiative. Prof. Gulab Singh and Dr. Kavita Singh were present on the occasion.
