Chandigarh, February 3, 2024: Cancer survivors were felicitated during an event to mark World Cancer Day at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula on Saturday.

During the occasion, the survivors accompanied by their doctors including Dr. Mukesh Bansal medical oncologist and Dr. Munish Mahajan surgical oncologist also shared their success stories in defeating the deadly disease.

70 years old Kamla Rani (name changed), a triumphant ovary cancer survivor, highlighted the indomitable human spirit, crediting her success to nourishing faith and the unwavering support of doctors and family during the challenging period.
Rekha (name changed), a 65 years old breast cancer survivor from Ambala, shared her journey to becoming cancer-free, emphasizing the importance of support from friends and family. She expressed a commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer, urging others to know their family history, recognize signs, and seek help for early detection.

Another 60 years old breast cancer survivor from Ambala, acknowledged the role of faith and positivity in her survival, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive outlook.

67 years old from Yamunanagar, who conquered lung cancer, attributed his success to the unwavering support of his family and the positive attitude of his doctors throughout his battle against the deadly disease.
