World’s Biggest Hackathon to commence Tomorrow at CGC Landran
2 lakh Technical Students to be a part of Non-stop 36 Hour Digital Competition A source of Digital innovative solutions in the tech world is going to commence tomorrow at CGC Landran. The 2-day long Hackathon is going to address around 2 lakh technical students from 3000+ technical institutions at 48 nodal centres across India. CGC Landran will be paying host to the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon for the 3rd consecutive year to over 300 participants from different states of India including Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Dr. R.K Soni, Director of NWRO-AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) will mark his presence as Cheif Guest for the Event. Participants would be developing software with their coding techniques and will be competing for 36-hours at a stretch. The Non-stop digital product competition will comprise of 8 Problem statements on themes related to smart vehicles, clean water, waste management and Robotics. This will measure the ability of students to solve daily-life problems with their technical skills. The software version of the Hackathon on 2nd and 3rd March would be followed by the hardware competition in the month of May this year. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will be motivating the students on Grand Finale of the 3rd Edition of the Smart India Hackathon through video conferencing. “Smart Indian Hackathon offers a platform to the young minds to solve the problems put forward by Public and Private sector organisations and thus, builds an Innovation Culture in the country” said HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar while briefing about the initiative of Ministry of HRD and AICTE.
