Workshop on Wine and Beverage Industry held in Doaba College

Jalandhar, November 22, 2021: PG Department of Tourism & Hotel Management of Doaba College Jalandhar organized a workshop on Wine and Beverage Industry in collaboration with  Sula Vineyard , Nashik . Mukesh Kumar -North Area Sales & Marketing Head - Sula Vineyard and Arun Kumar  graced the occasion as resource persons .The dignitaries were accorded a hearty welcome by Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari, Prof Rahul Hans –Head, faculty and 65 students .
Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari said that for entry into any industry we need to understand the minute and  detailed requirement of that industry and that is why this workshop is organized to by the department to give proper exposer to the  students on such a relevant module of Beverages of hotel industry. He said that students  would be  also taught about etiquettes, table manners and  professional service skills etc
Arun Kumar and Mukesh Kumar taught students  about various practical aspects related to process of Manufacturing & Bottling of Wine  and various Sensory Techniques viz Palate Tasting , Color and Smell method nd whisking Method related to Wine tasting & service. They also discussed about best practices for serving, handling and storing wine – including choosing the right glasses for different occasions .
