A workshop titled “Unlock Your Happiness Potential” was conducted by Dr. Rajesh K. Pillania, focusing on understanding happiness and its importance in leading a balanced and fulfilling life. The session offered practical guidance on managing everyday challenges while maintaining mental and physical well-being.
Chandigarh, February 9, 2026: A workshop titled “Unlock Your Happiness Potential” was conducted by Dr. Rajesh K. Pillania, focusing on understanding happiness and its importance in leading a balanced and fulfilling life. The session offered practical guidance on managing everyday challenges while maintaining mental and physical well-being.
During the workshop, Dr. Pillania emphasised preparation and realism as effective ways to cope with uncertainty and encouraged participants to acknowledge and experience all emotions. Referring to research findings, he shared that happiness enhances creativity and productivity. The session also introduced the Cantril Ladder as a tool to assess life satisfaction and personal growth.
Dr. Pillania explained how the brain consumes nearly 25 per cent of the body’s energy and its connection to happiness, highlighting that meaningful change begins with small, consistent steps. He identified genetics, environment and mental choices as key factors influencing happiness. Emphasising TEA — Time, Energy and Attention — he encouraged participants to consciously monitor and manage these resources. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, during which Dr. Pillania engaged with the audience and addressed their questions.
The session was organised by the Dean Alumni Relations, the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies and the Department of Education in collaboration. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Jaidev from the Department of English and Cultural Studies. It was attended by Prof. Latika Sharma, Dean Alumni Relations, Prof. Manish Sharma, Department of Education, Dr. Archana Chauhan, other faculty members and students of the University, along with members of the general public.
