Workshop on theme of Voting Awareness and Role of Youth in Swachhta Programme 

Chandigarh, March 29, 2024: A One day workshop was organised by RD NSS Chandigarh in collaboration with NSS PU Chandigarh on the theme of Voting Awareness and Role of Youth in Swachhta programme in the direction of Ministry of youth affairs and sports under the leadership of Dr Parveen Goyal at Panjab University campus Chandigarh. 

A Total of 145 NSS volunteers participated in the workshop. The chief guest for the workshop was Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, he addressed the students and told them the importance of casting their vote. 

The distinguished guest Davesh Moudgil addressed the audience and enlightened them about their rights and responsibilities towards making the nation clean and green. Guest of Honour Prof. 

Amit Chauhan, DSW, PU, Prof. Simrit  Kahlon, DSW(W) ,PU and Shi Jai Bhagwan, Youth Officer, U T. were also  present at the event. There were poster making  Rangoli and Declamation competitions for the students. The students participated in  enthusiasm and dedication.22 volunteers participated in poster making competition, 11 volunteers participated in Rangoli competition and 21 volunteers participated  in declamation competition. The competition was scrutinized by 4 judges, results were declared followed by prize distribution to the winners. An Awareness rally was also organized in PU campus.
