Workshop on latest trends and design in towel origami at GNA  University

Jalandhar: Faculty of Hospitality, GNA University organized one day workshop on “Latest Trends & Design in Towel Origami” for the students of Hotel Management. Mr. Kuldeep Singh Gariya, Deputy Housekeeper, The Fern Residency Gujrat was the resource person for the workshop.
The Resource Person presented various designs being created out of soft fluffy towels which enabled the students to learn the art of Towel Folding which is very helpful in giving a delightful surprise to the guests in hotels.
The demonstration given by the resource person was so nicely done that at the end of the session, students volunteered to come forward and try some of the towel folds by themselves.
Dr. Raj Kumar Mahajan, the Registrar GNA University welcomed the guest and said, “Skilled based teaching is the need of the hour as it ensures employability of graduates.”
Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor expressed, “The aim to conduct these kinds of workshop is to keep students abreast with the new trends in the Hospitality Sector and make them industry ready.”
Dr. Varinder Singh Rana, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Hospitality assured the students that such type of practical workshops will be conducted on a regular basis for the betterment of the students. 
Mr. Gurdeep Singh Sihra appreciated the efforts of the faculty and conveyed students to work on their skill strengths. He even said, “The day is not far when our GUites will be doing excelling in their chosen career through such workshops.”
