Workshop on Goods and Services Tax (GST)

Jalandhar, May 28, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of its students. In keeping with this tradition, Department of B. Voc Management and Secretarial Practices in association with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, organised a one day workshop on Goods and Services Tax  for the students The resource person of the workshop was CA Anirudh Sareen from K Sareen & Company. He highlighted the importance of GST  and explained  GST as a destination based tax. He also acquainted students with concepts like types of GST,  place & time of supply, fixed establishment, input tax credit, and compensation cess with help of suitable illustrations. Later, the resource person answered the queries of the students. The workshop was held in a very interactive manner and it was indeed a learning and knowledge enriching experience for the students and faculty members. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her gratitude to the resource person. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra, Dr. Sabina Batra, Course Incharge, B. Voc Management and Secretarial Practices & Ms Dimple for successfully organising the event.
