Workshop on ‘Fabric Painting & Liquid Embroidery’

Jalandhar, August 4, 2022: Under the guidance of Dr. Pooja Prashar, PG Department of Fashion Designing held a two day workshop on topic ‘Fabric Painting & Liquid Embroidery’. 

The workshop was demonstrated by Ritu Lal, an expert from fevicryl. On the first day of workshop, she instructcted the students of B.Sc Fashion Designing Semester II, IV and VI about the various skills of fabric painting. She also guided the students about type of fabric and suitable technique of fabric painting on the basis of fabric type. On the second day of workshop, students learnt about the unique technique of liquid embroidery with the help of 3-D liner tubes of fevicryl. Students prepared articles such as handkerchiefs, torans, kurtis and table mat by using the techniques taught in the workshop. 

The members of the Managing Committee and the Principal encouraged the students to participate in such insightful session more to enhance their creative skills. She also congratulated the department of Fashion Designing for organizing such a successful workshop.
