The Seven Days Workshop on Data Analysis Using SPSS organised by the Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh concluded today.
Chandigarh, December 23, 2025: The Seven Days Workshop on Data Analysis Using SPSS organised by the Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh concluded today.
The workshop has drawn many participants which include faculty members, research scholars and students from different Departments of Panjab University and neighboring institutes such as CRRID, NITTTR, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Punjabi University, Patiala etc. Moreover, the participants are from diverse disciplines such as Medical, Mathematics, Education, Economics, Library Science, Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering, Geology, Public Administration, Environment Studies, Human Rights and Duties, Commerce and Business Studies.
During the seven day workshop, the following topics were covered with their practical applications and implementation through SPSS software: Exploration of Data, Graphical representation of Data, Multiple Correlation and Regression, Parametric and Nonparametric Inference, Factor Analysis and Discriminant Analysis, Cluster Analysis and Logistic Regression and Analysis of Covariance, MANOVA and MANCOVA.
The resource persons for the workshop were Prof. Narinder Kumar (Chairperson), Prof. Suresh K. Sharma, Dr. Anju Goyal and Harminder Singh Deosi of Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
During the concluding day, Chairperson appreciated Dr. Anju Goyal, workshop coordinator for the efforts in successfully organizing the workshop, including the supporting staff and research scholars.
The participants appreciated the practical approach of the sessions, which enhanced their analytical skills and research competence. The workshop successfully met its objectives and was well received by all participants.
