Chandigarh, October 29, 2025: The Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today organised a Workshop-cum-Special Lecture on “Drug & Substance Addiction and Human Approach”, under the commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Dr. L. S. Rana discussed in detail the classification of drugs and narcotic substances, along with the investigation procedures adopted under relevant legal frameworks. His lecture provided valuable insights into the operational and procedural aspects of narcotics control.
Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairman, Centre for Police Administration, delivered the thematic address, highlighting the impact of drug abuse on society and emphasising the crucial role of the police in curbing the menace of narcotics through awareness, enforcement, and rehabilitation-oriented approaches.
The session was attended by faculty members — Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, Dr. Shaveta Begra, and Dr. Satnam Singh — along with two research scholars and around forty students of the Centre for Police Administration.
