WORK OF DISTRIBUTING COOKED FOOD & RATION GOING ON SUCCESSFULLY IN LUDHIANA (EAST) SUB DIVISION

Ludhiana: As per the directions of Punjab government and Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, the entire team of SDM Ludhiana (East) Mr Amarjit Singh Bains comprising Tehsildar Mr Gurmeet Singh Mann and all Naib Tehsildars and other staff are working tirelessly to ensure that no person sleeps hungry in areas under Ludhiana (East). Till date, more than 50,000 ration kits being sent by the Punjab government have been distributed to the needy and cooked food is being provided to the needy on daily basis.
Mr Gurmeet Singh Mann informed that for the last more than a month, he, along with other staff of Ludhiana (East) sub division have been working hard to ensure that ration and cooked food reach every single needy person, including migrant labourers. He informed that atta, rice, potatoes, cooking oil etc is being provided to the needy persons almost on daily basis. He informed that to ensure that these items reach the needy on time, the staff is using their private vehicles for this work.
He informed that whenever ration or cooked food is supplied, the needy persons are also educated about the directions of the Punjab government. These persons are also urged to stay indoors and follow all directions/advisories/guidelines of the Punjab government so that everyone stays safe.
He informed that all vehicles supplying ration being sent by Punjab government are properly sanitised. He said that the entire staff of Ludhiana (East) sub division is working tirelessly to ensure that no person sleeps hungry at night.
