Women's empowerment is essential for social development: VC Dr. H.K. Aggarwal
Women's Empowerment Day was celebrated by the Dean of Student Welfare Department on Monday at the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh OPD of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences.
Rohtak, March 9, 2026: Women's Empowerment Day was celebrated by the Dean of Student Welfare Department on Monday at the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh OPD of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences.
Vice Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal attended the program as the chief guest. Addressing the attendees, he said that women's empowerment is crucial for society's development, as women are the backbone of society and without them, social development is impossible. The Vice Chancellor said that women should be aware of their rights so that they can protect their rights and play their role in society.
Registrar Dr. Roop Singh, describing education and economic independence as crucial for women's empowerment, said that this will enable women to become self-reliant and support their families. Director Dr. S.K. Singhal said that women should play their important role and contribute to society's development. He added that society must work together for women's empowerment.
Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Savita Singhal said that respect and security of women is very important so that they can feel safe in their homes and society and can exercise their rights. She said that the government and society must work together for women's empowerment.
Dr. Madhu Sharma said that the students gave a meaningful message of women's empowerment by creating street plays, posters and rangoli. The Chief Guest honored the winners of the competition and gave them certificates. Dr. Pushpa Dahiya, Dr. Arpana Parmar, Dr. Mannu Rathi, Dr. Manisha Rathi, Dr. Jyoti Kaushal, Dr. Shikha Tiwari, Dr. Ritu Hooda, Dr. Nisha Marwah, Dr. Nityasha and a large number of students attended the program.
