Rohtak, March 8, 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta extended his greetings to the women of the district and said that women are the cornerstone of society’s progress and development.
He said that no society can truly progress without the active participation and empowerment of women. Today, women are making remarkable contributions in education, healthcare, administration, science, sports and entrepreneurship, and are continuously setting new benchmarks with their achievements.
DC Sachin Gupta emphasised that women empowerment is not limited to a single day but is a continuous responsibility of society. He said that the government has launched several initiatives aimed at the welfare, safety and economic empowerment of women, with the objective of ensuring equal opportunities for them in every sphere of life.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is also working consistently to promote women’s health, education, safety and livelihood opportunities. Through Self Help Groups, skill development programmes and awareness campaigns, women are being encouraged to become financially independent and socially empowered.
He added that International Women’s Day is an important occasion to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of women and to reaffirm the collective commitment towards protecting their rights and dignity.
DC Sachin Gupta appealed to citizens to promote respect, equality and opportunities for women in everyday life, and to contribute towards building a more inclusive and equitable society.
He also wished all women of the district good health, prosperity and continued success in every field of life.
