Sony SAB, one of India’s leading Hindi General Entertainment Channels, proudly announces the launch of Hui Gumm Yaadein – Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan, premiering 6th April at 8 PM. Adapted from the globally acclaimed Italian drama DOC – Nelle Tue Mani, the series brings to Indian audiences a compelling narrative of resilience, rediscovery, and the transformative nature of second chances. Featuring celebrated actors Iqbal Khan, Gulki Joshi, and Srishti Singh, Yaadein unfolds against a nuanced medical backdrop, tracing the deeply moving journey of a doctor striving to reconcile with his past, while rediscovering his identity and purpose.
At the heart of the story is Dr. Dev Mehta, played by Iqbal Khan, a brilliant doctor whose life is irrevocably altered when an accident erases eight years of his memory. Stripped of his past and the life he once built, Dev is compelled to navigate unfamiliar territory and confront a version of himself he no longer remembers. What unfolds is a profound journey of rediscovery — one that sees him rebuilding his career, mending broken relationships, and embracing a more compassionate approach to medicine and life.
Gulki Joshi portrays Srishti, Dev’s ex-wife, a strong perceptive doctor who set aside her medical career to raise their children and now manages the hospital’s administration. Their fractured relationship is tested when Dev’s memory loss reveals a version of him she thought was gone forever. Adding further emotional depth is Srishti Singh who plays Vaani, an ambitious resident doctor who once idolized Dev. As his closest ally in this new chapter, Vaani’s evolving bond with Dev reshapes both their lives.
Produced by SOBO Films, Yaadein is the official Indian adaptation of DOC, a globally acclaimed series which has been successfully adapted in more than five countries. We are excited to bring this proven international narrative to Indian viewers with a deeply rooted emotional lens and are confident that Dr. Dev Mehta’s journey will spark conversations, touch hearts, and reaffirm Sony SAB’s commitment to meaningful storytelling."
Smruti Shinde, Producer & Founder of SOBO Films says, “For us at SOBO Films, Yaadein is not just an adaptation — it is a heartfelt retelling crafted for Indian audiences. The story of Dr. Dev Mehta is about resilience, rediscovery, and the courage to embrace life’s second chances, themes that are universally human yet deeply personal. Partnering with Sony SAB has allowed us to bring this vision to life with scale and sensitivity, ensuring that while the show carries the legacy of DOC, it also reflects the emotional fabric of Indian families.”
Iqbal Khan playing the role of Dr. Dev Mehta says, "As actors, we often look for roles that challenge us, but Dr. Dev Mehta is more than just a challenge — he is a mirror to the human spirit. Losing eight years of memory and being forced to rebuild his life is not only a medical story, it is a deeply emotional journey about identity, love, and second chances. Playing Dev has allowed me to explore vulnerability and resilience in equal measure, and I believe audiences will see parts of themselves in his struggles and triumphs. Yaadein is a reminder that even when life takes everything away, it also gives us the courage to begin again."
