With efforts of MLA Gogi, design of Pakhowal Road ROB gets changed

Ludhiana, September 5, 2022: With the initiative of MLA Ludhiana West Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, the design of Rail Over Bridge (ROB) on Pakhowal Road has been changed in coordination with the government to facilitate smooth traffic flow on the stretch. 

Divulging details, MLA Gogi said that it was long pending demand of the people for the change in the design due to which the people were upset as they were not being heard earlier. He said that Punjab government was committed to serve the people and every basic amenity would be ensured to them. 

While visiting the site with officials from MC and other departments, Gogi said that traffic from Hero Bakery Chowk to HDFC Bank would remain suspended which will be thrown open after some days.  He directed them to ensure speedy completion of the project.  It is pertinent to mention here that the construction of Rail Over Bridge (ROB) and two Rail Under Bridges (RUBs) on Pakhowal Road was going on and both these joint projects will relieve the city residents from long traffic jams.

Later, MLA also inaugurated construction work of RMC road backside Lord Krishna Temple to the people which will be completed at a cost of Rs 25 lakh.
