Wipro selects 150 students of Rayat-Bahra University

Mohali, September 30, 2014: The IT giant Wipro Technologies has selected 150 students of Rayat-Bahra University during the campus placement drive making it one of the rare campuses in region from where students have been selected in such a large number.
In a press statement issued here today the joint managing director of Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes, Dr Sandeep S Kaura said that the team visiting university campus for recruitment appreciated the students’ strong technical and had in depth knowledge of the subject.
A team of 15 members headed by Moumita Mukharjee conducted this drive making students undergo stringent procedure.
The students of all streams from B Tech 2015 batch and MCA first took part in group discussion, appeared in online aptitude test, went through technical interview and were then interviewed by the human resources department officers of Wipro.
Dr Kaura said that selected students will function as project engineers and will get a handsome package of Rs 3.25 lacs per annum.
More than a thousand students from Rayat-Bahra Ropar campus, Rayat-Bahra Hoshiarpur city, Rayat-Bahra Patiala campus, Bahra University Shimla and other places participated in this two day process.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman, blessed the students and wishes them a bright & prosperous Career. He said that Rayat – Bahra Group has always been in the forefront in providing meaningful education to the students learning to their gainful employment.
