When comes to power Congress will restore glory

Dharamshala, October 16, 2019: Leader of Opposition in Himachal Assembly and senior Congress leader Mukesh Agnihotri said, “Dharamshala is the second capital of the state. It was notified by the then CM Virbhadra Singh during the Congress rule. Comprehensive steps will be taken in this regard, whenever the Congress comes to power. BJP leaders say that Dharamshala does not have any infrastructure for the second capital, which is totally incorrect. The winter session of the assembly runs here like Shimla. To reduce these infrastructures, BJP governments even tried to use the Assembly complex at Tapovan in Dharamshala for other commercial purposes.”
Mukesh told reporters that if Dharamshala stays the second capital, then it will be beneficial for the employees as well. He said, “Whenever the Congress comes to power, Dharamshala shall be treated as second capital and government employees working in Dharamshala shall get the same salary and allowances as per the employees of Shimla.
It may be recalled that recently ex-CM and senior leader of BJP, Shanta Kumar said in a press conference that there is no need of second capital in a small state like Himachal, Shanta added, “I could not understand the idea of the second capital.”
Talking to media in Dharamshsala on Wednesday Mukesh said that Congress has an emotional relationship with Dharamshala. Smart cities are being built in both Dharamsala and Shimla. While the government has stopped funding for the same in Dharamshala.
Mukesh said that BJP has also done injustice to the employees by dissolving the administrative tribunal. The cases which were earlier being resolved in the Tribunal have been shifted to the High Court and for it now everybody has to go to Shimla. MLA from Sujanpur Rajendra Rana said that the government wants to win both the by elections on the strength of the officials/power.
