Rohtak, April 7, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that wheat procurement is progressing smoothly in the district and that mismatch data on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal is being verified and will be completed by this evening. He also assured that adequate stock of LPG, petrol, and diesel is available in the district.

Chairing a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat with procurement agencies and other departments, the Deputy Commissioner shared that 14,000 metric tonnes of wheat have arrived in Sampla mandi, out of which 342 metric tonnes have been procured so far. A total of 2,520 gate passes have been issued, and necessary directions have been given to ensure timely lifting of procured wheat.

He said that all mandis are being equipped with sufficient bardana and that lifting arrangements are being carried out simultaneously. The Deputy Commissioner added that he is personally monitoring procurement activities, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Magistrates are also closely supervising mandi operations.

Addressing fuel availability, he reiterated that LPG, petrol, and diesel stocks are more than sufficient to meet daily requirements, and there is no need for concern. To prevent misuse and black marketing of domestic LPG, regular enforcement drives are being carried out, and 105 domestic gas cylinders have been seized so far.

He informed that 8,000–10,000 LPG cylinders are being supplied daily, with around 7,000–7,500 cylinders delivered to consumers each day, ensuring smooth distribution. Additionally, 7,482 cylinders are currently in stock, along with 1,531 small (5 kg) cylinders, which will be distributed as required.

Following the video conference chaired by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure that adequate manpower is deployed for gate pass issuance, weighing machines are properly certified, and all essential facilities in mandis are functioning efficiently. He also instructed that procurement arrangements be strengthened at purchase centres and temporary mandis, with proper infrastructure such as tarpaulins and smooth entry-exit points.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the New Grain Market in Rohtak, reviewed on-ground arrangements, checked wheat quality using moisture meters, and interacted with farmers and mandi representatives. He assured farmers that the administration is committed to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and hassle-free procurement process, and that no inconvenience will be allowed at any stage.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, SDMs Ankita Panwar, Ashish Kumar, and Vipin Kumar, DFSC Manisha Mehra, officials from FCI, HAFED, Market Committees, oil companies, gas agencies, and other concerned departments.
