Still available at least in North ...with some tweaking ...Dabwali in Haryana is famous for its workshops which will add anything you want - AC, full metal cover, macho fittings like shovel, hunting net etc as in pic below. Pic is of the same vintage Jeep - note the left hand drive in the 1st pic with me - 1972.
Note that the old one is a left hand drive – it was my Dad’s vehicle in Chakrata - I was in school in Dehra Dun and we were allowed (after a lot of checks) to go  to the then secret Army SFF - Establishment 22 in Chakrata during the  vacations).
The Willys MB and the Ford GPW, both formally called the U.S. Army Truck, 1/4 ton, 4x4, Command Reconnaissance, commonly known as Jeep or jeep, and sometimes referred to as G503 are light, off-road capable, military utility vehicles that were manufactured during World War II (from 1941 to 1945) to help mobilize the Allied forces.
The 1954 Willys has an interesting history; it was originally imported by Mahindra & Mahindra for the Indian Army, and was later purchased as surplus by the ruler of the "princely state" of Asothar in UP. ... It is an example of an early CJ-3B imported by M&M for Indian Army use.
Old Willys are still available – modified to your specifications in Dabwali, Sirsa (Haryana) – they will convert a left hand drive (original as seen in the Chakrata 1972 pic ) to a right hand open one (2022 pic) .
Very popular in Punjab – mostly by Gabru college youngsters doing ‘geri route’ (that is an actual word in Chandigarh – look it up!) and middle aged men having a midlife crisis (Dolly ji’s words – not true) !!!
