Website of PU, fashion technology launched

Chandigarh: University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT&VD), Panjab University, Chandigarh, launched a Website titled – startups.com as a platform to provide business opportunities to showcase, promote and sell the fashion and lifestyle products created by the students of UIFT&VD today. It was inaugurated by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University in the presence of faculty members, research scholars and students of Fashion and Lifestyle Technology.
PrabhdipBrar(Ph.D.),Chairperson, UIFT&VD gave an introductory note about the website which has been designed and created by Ms. Ginni Singh, research scholar at UIFT&VD. In these critical times, it is the need of the hour for the students to start their entrepreneurial ventures in order to stay relevant to consumer needs. The website links the showcased products to the student-designers for placing direct orders. The students have developed multitasking capabilities, are working from home and becoming self-reliant. The efforts of faculty and research scholars were appreciated.
