Webinar on discipline organized on world students’ day

Nauni (Himachal Pradesh): Final year students of Horticulture and Forestry from the four colleges of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni participated in a webinar organized on the occasion of World Students’ Day. The webinar was held under the ICAR’s Institutional Development Project.

The topic of the webinar was ‘Instil the Essential Principle of Discipline’. Maj General RS Mann (Retd.) was the guest speaker where he shared the importance of discipline in life. Maj General Mann also shared his experiences from the period served in the armed forces. The topics of self-esteem, leadership, time management, organized life, habit making etc. were discussed. An interactive session with the students was also held where the importance of discipline in a ‘students’ life was discussed. Besides students of the university, the team members of the IDP, the faculty also took part in the webinar.

Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Kaushal in a video message congratulated the students on the occasion. He urged students to follow the steps of Dr Abdul Kalam and his life. Dr Kalam's birthday is celebrated as World Students' Day.
