Webinar on demystifying and preparing for job opportunities in new normal 

Chandigarh: A webinar on “Demystifying and Preparing for Job Opportunities in the New Norma"l was organised by the Central Placement Cell, Panjab University Chandigarh today with more than 120 students across various university departments in attendance. 
Prof Raj Kumar ,Vice Chancellor in his inaugural address advised the students to be innovative, positive and calm in this environment. He said that there is no cure for this until now, so we all have to learn to live with this virus while adhering to the social distancing norms. He shared that education and skill development is a continuous process and any type of virus can not hamper the spirit of learning. He also emphasised the significance of micro and small enterprises in this new normal. 
Mr. Sagar Raina, Vice President and Head of Talent Acquisition, Airtel started with a very positive note and explained how economy has recovered from such pandemic situations in the past and hoped that we will recover from these conditions in a short span of time. He explained the value of data and various new jobs which are being created in the market at present. Mr. Raina advised students to take up online courses and virtual internship to develop required skills during this period while developing IQ, EQ and SQ. He also gave practical tips to the students as to how they can work for their effective placements.
Mr. Royston Botelho,India Head of Calxypod launched and gave demonstration lecture for online practice aptitude tests that will help the students in their placements. Mr. Rishu Gupta,Founder of Calyxpod ,Mr  Aditya and Mr. Mukund, Senior Executive, Calyxpod were also present during the session.
The other dignitary  present included Ms. Radhika Mahajan, Corporate Trainer and  Motivational Speaker.The session started with a welcome note by Prof .Meena Sharma,Director, Central Plaement Cell in which she introduced all the  speakers and explained the objective of seminar.Dr. Amandeep Singh concluded the session with vote of thanks to all the key note speakers, members of Central Placement Cell and all the students who made the webinar successful with their delightful presence
