We have to think about the oneness of all 7-8 billion people: Dalai Lama

Dharamshala, April 24,2023: His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, “We have to think about how to achieve a genuine peaceful world. The source of the problem which we have created is my nation and my religion making distinctions. So we have to think just as human beings, about the oneness of all 7-8 billion people.” 

The Dalai Lama said, “We are the same. So, I am totally committed, since every morning, to think about all 7-8 billion people and that we are the same. We want a happy life. By nature, we all have compassion and affection, but once we join school, we make distinctions between this nation and that nation, this religion and that religion. That is the cause of creating problems.”

The Dalai Lama was addressing a delegation of French senators in Dharamshala today.
