Ludhiana, October 18, 2026: Ahead of the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief and Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, aiming to mobilize the Congress rank and file, held a meeting yesterday with senior party leaders, including former Ministers and MLAs at the residence of Kuldip Vaid, Ex-MLA.
During the meeting, Warring outlined the election strategy and guided party workers on executing the campaign. He asserted, “The AAP government has failed miserably on all fronts, turning Punjab into a failed state. With elections fast approaching, every leader must work relentlessly to secure Congress’s victory.”
Warring gave a clarion call to leaders to tighten their belts and launch an aggressive campaign. He emphasized, “Our foremost priority is to expose the failures of the AAP government, for which even door to door outreach must be undertaken. People are already disillusioned with this corrupt regime and today the AAP stands fully exposed before the people of Punjab.”
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on Punjab’s pressing issues, including the hardships faced by industrialists and farmers. Warring asserted that the AAP has ruined the state’s prosperity, while emphasizing that the people of Punjab stand firmly with Congress. “Today, the entire state is suffering — from the common man to industry, businessmen, traders and professionals. Law and order has collapsed, the crime graph has soared and murders have become routine,” he said.
Laying emphasis on galvanizing the Congress cadre, Warring urged party leaders to gear up and launch the election campaign at full throttle. He said, “Expose before the people of Punjab how the drug menace has flourished under the AAP regime,” while assuring his support to every leader in their fight for justice for Punjab. Later, Warring described the meeting as extremely fruitful, adding that the Congress is fully charged to take on the AAP in the upcoming elections.
Among those present at the meeting were former Punjab Minister Rakesh Pandey; former MLAs Kuldeep Vaid and Surinder Dawar; former MLA and DCC Ludhiana (Urban) President Sanjay Talwar; former PPCC General Secretary Pawan Dewan; Capt. Sandeep Sandhu General Secretary; Simranjit Singh Bains Ex-MLA; Balwinder Bains Ex-MLA; K.K. Bawa Ex-Chairman; DYC President Manraj Thukral; Manjit Hambaran; Darshan Birmi; Inderjeet Kapoor; and Nikki Rayat.
