Jagota is contesting against Congress candidate Uma Beri, wife of Congress MLA Rajinder Beri. She is doing massive poll campaigning by contacting electorates one to one and adopting other measures including mass contact programme by holding corner meetings (nukkad meetings). In her speeches, she is stressing upon the youth empowerment for future of the Nation. Her speeches clearly indicate that she is completed development oriented. Her ideal is Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The young contestant has great aspirations from the young electorates in her ward. She believes in doing social service. “Politics is the best field to serve the masses”, she remarks. She has a political family background as her grandfather Narsi Ram Jagota served in different capacities to the masses.
Jagota decided to join the political field with inspiration from her mother Mamta Jagota and father Ajay Jagota. “I give credit to my parents for joining political field”, she reveals.
She has certain plans to implement once she is elected. “I wish to set up libraries in the parks, playgrounds for children, community hall, storm water channel and health club for the youths”, she said, adding she also wanted that quality education be imparted in the government schools. At present, there are two schools, a junior model school and a government school which have produced senior bureaucrats and officers.
She complained that both Uma Beri and Rajinder Beri did not pay attention on development projects in municipal ward No.19 (which was No.30 previously).
