Volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of Sarabha District in Ludhiana organising “Path Sanchalan” (march) on Vijaya Dashmi on Sunday.
Ludhiana, October 13, 2013: Volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of Sarabha District organised “Path Sanchalan” (march) on Vijaya Dashmi here today.
On the occasion, they also worshiped the weapons. Thousands of RSS volunteers participated in the event held at Jhulewale Park in the Model Town area here. All the volunteers were duly dressed up.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil, Pracharak of Ludhiana Vibhagh, laid stress on eradicating evils from the society. He added there was a need the society should start following the footsteps of Lord Rama to make the society better and evils-free. He said ultimately the society would have to follow the footsteps of Lord Rama.
He revealed that the main function of worship of weapons was held at RSS Headquarters at Nagpur every year. He said similar function was held at five different places across Ludhiana city today.
People aired flower petals on the volunteers marching on the roads in the different areas of the city. Volunteers were of the age from 6-7 years to 65-70 years. They were seen greatly enthused. www.cityairnews.com
