VK Singh reviews covid19 measures being undertaken in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: VK Singh, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India today reviewed the Covid19 measures being undertaken by District Administration Ludhiana and showed satisfaction. He chaired a meeting regarding Covid19 at Bachat Bhawan, here, that was attended by Principal Secretary Health Hussan Lal, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal, ADC (D) Sandeep Kumar, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) Charanjit Singh Sohal, SSP Khanna Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, Civil Surgeon Dr Sukhjeevan Kakkar, besides several others.

    During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner briefed VK Singh about the steps being undertaken by the District Administration regarding Covid19 and assured that there is ample availability of beds, oxygen, vaccines, medicines etc for treating the patients. He also briefed him that to keep a close watch on the entire situation, senior officials have been made incharge of different aspects of Covid19.

    ADC (D)-cum-Nodal Officer Covid19 Sandeep Kumar also gave a detailed presentation in this regard. He also said that the District Administration has also started "Vaccination at Doorstep" initiative, under which vaccination camps are being organised in different parts of the district. He said that till date, 3.32 lakh people have been vaccinated in district Ludhiana. He added under the ‘Vaccine at Doorsteps’ initiative, there is no need to go and stand in the queue at the vaccination centre as now health teams will visit particular area/factory/village/residential society or private and commercial establishments for which the need is just to dial up administration for vaccination camp in their localities or premises.

    VK Singh showed satisfaction over the arrangements being undertaken by District Administration Ludhiana and directed them to intensify their vaccination drive. He urged them to motivate the residents to get vaccinated at the earliest as it is a weapon to weed out Covid19 from our society.
