Chandigarh, February 3, 2014: Punjab Cadre Senior IAS Officer V.K. Singh today assumed the charge of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab (CEO).
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Chief Electoral Office, Punjab said that the notification with regard to the appointment of V.K. Singh as CEO, Punjab, has earlier been issued by the Punjab Government. He said that the orders were issued in pursuance of Notification of the Election Commission of India. V.K. Singh belongs to Indian Administrative Services Batch of 1990. He was earlier posted as Finance Secretary, Chandigarh administration.
