Chandigarh, Jan 16, 2024: Three students of Vivek High School - Ruhaan Bains, Vaanya Pathak and Samiya Gupta spent a day with underprivileged students from Smt.Sarla Devi Free School, near Chandigarh.

They went to teach and interact with the students, who face socio-economic challenges daily.

Initially as an ice breaker the Vivek students played frolicsome games and conducted quizzes for the students. With a passion for social sciences, Ruhaan Bains opened the class with an introduction to India and its rich culture. He laid emphasis on the capitals, languages, states, and culture of our country. The students were quite inquisitive to learn about their legacy.

Vaanya Pathak continued the class with an insight to the elements of earth and the pressing environmental issues and provided various mitigation strategies for the same. She shed light on the need to reuse, recycle and reduce.

Samiya Gupta concluded the class by presenting the uses of plants. She informed them about different vegetables and fruits. She also narrated a comical Hindi story to the students, which ignited a spirit of excitement among them.

Lastly, they encouraged the students to express their talents and conducted a talent show session for the students. The students recited poems, danced, and sung various melodies. The class concluded with a sense of oneness and gratitude.
