Virtual cycling event to mark Independence Day

Chandigarh, August 10, 2022: The Department of Computer Science and Applications (DCSA), Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing a virtual cycling event to mark Independence Day on 15th August, 2022. 
The event is coordinated by head of department Dr Rohini Sharma and Assistant Professor Dr. Anuj Sharma. The participants can register for the event on or before 11th August, 2022. The registered participants will get details to design pattern or theme based ride. The cycling activity will be monitored through Strava app and best three riders will be awarded in 15 and 25 kilometers category each. In addition, group rides will also be part of event and best three entries will be awarded. The group ride includes atleast 15 kilometers ride with group of atleast 10 participants. This event encourage people to participate remotely from any place and any time on 14 and 15 of August, 2022. This is the first time, this kind of initiative has been taken by  Panjab University, Chandigarh.
