Viksit Bharat–Yuva Connect Programme: PU Youth Welfare Department Holds Pre-Event Competitions

As part of the national initiative Viksit Bharat–Yuva Connect Programme, the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, today hosted a series of pre-event competitions to inspire youth participation in India’s vision to become a developed nation by 2047.

Chandigarh, August 8, 2025: As part of the national initiative Viksit Bharat–Yuva Connect Programme, the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, today hosted a series of pre-event competitions to inspire youth participation in India’s vision to become a developed nation by 2047.

 

Rangoli Making, Poster Making, Elocution, and Debate contests were organised under the patronage of PU Vice-Chancellor Professor Renu Vig, which attracted enthusiastic participation from students across various university departments. The winners will be felicitated on August 12, 2025, during the formal celebration of the programme.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Dr. Sukhjinder Rishi said, “Yuva Connect is not merely a series of competitions; it is a movement that brings young minds together to think, create, and express their vision for India’s future.”

 

Assistant Director Dr. Tejinder Singh and Cultural Coordinator Dr. Archana Chauhan were also present on the occasion. They commended the creativity, insight, and energy of the participants.
